When a brutal drug surge floods Chicago’s streets, a conflicted detective and his relentless partner race to dismantle a violent trafficking empire—only to discover the operation is driven by a fractured father–son bond that threatens to ignite the city and destroy them all.
Synopsis
Chicago descends into chaos as a deadly wave of heroin, fentanyl, and ketamine overwhelms public spaces, leaving bodies in its wake and stretching law enforcement to the brink. Detective Isaac Cohen, already burdened by self-doubt and mounting pressure, is pulled deeper into the crisis alongside his uncompromising partner Carina and her father, Captain Robert Stewart, whose command presence keeps the task force moving forward at all costs.
As overdoses spike and suspects slip through their fingers, the investigation leads to Mainframe Systems, a covert warehouse operation controlling the drug flow across the city. At its core is Volodymyr, a ruthless architect of the empire who views power as legacy, and his son Ivan, increasingly repelled by the destruction they cause. Their ideological fracture becomes the operation’s greatest vulnerability.
The pursuit intensifies through failed captures, tense confrontations, and near-misses, forcing Isaac to confront his fear of falling behind while Carina refuses to let pressure fracture the team. When Ivan secretly breaks ranks and sets a meeting that could expose everything, loyalties collide and the stakes turn personal.
As police pressure closes in and the criminal empire begins to crack from within, Chicago becomes a battleground of consequence and choice. Shadows of Retribution: Chicago Chronicles is a fast-moving crime thriller about power, accountability, and the cost of survival—where every decision leaves a mark, and no one escapes the fallout.
